Chilufya Sampa has been with the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission since 2002. He joined as an Economist in the Mergers section and after about two years was transfered to the Consumer Welfare and Education section. In 2006 he became the Chief Analyst - Policy and Research in the office of the Executive Director and in 2007 he became the head of the Consumer Welfare and Education section. In 2008 he was transfered back to the mergers section as its head a position he holds to this day
Mr. Sampa has experience in handling competition and consumer cases and has also participated in carrying out advocacy functions of the Commission especially while he head the consumer section and while in the office of the Executive Director.
