Ron Kemp – Senior Economist, Office of the Chief Economist, Netherlands Competition Authority
Senior Economist with the NMa since 2006, Ron is responsible for calculating Outcome of the NMa's interventions, as published in the NMa's annual reports and the NMa Working Papers series. Ron has a PhD in Business from Groningen University and studied Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 2007 he organized an international conference on Outcome calculations.
Recently, he co-wrote a study on the deterrence effects of competition law enforcement and completed an ex post study on the price effects of Dutch hospital mergers. Ron has advised on economic and econometric issues in many cartel and merger cases. As Assistant Professor at Wageningen University, Ron has various publications in journals like European Competition Law Review, De Economist, International Journal of Research in Marketing and Journal of Product Innovation Management.
